Fifth Anniversary Conference Call 2023

You are bold and audacious. You are 18 to 24 years old. You look to the future. You do not accept the status quo. You want to change the world. If this describes you, apply to participate in a powerful encounter for change, bringing together forward-thinking young people like yourself with like-minded European decision makers and research scholars. The 5th anniversary International Youth Conference is hosted by the city of Barcelona, first European Capital of Democracy, on 20-23 November. Hope to see you there!

Appalled by the Russian assault on Ukraine, yet strengthened in our resolve to stand up for peace and democracy, we invite you and 23 other young people living in the cities, the suburbs, and the countryside of Europe to a four-day conference. We pay for sustainable travel to and from Barcelona, lodging, and meals during your stay.* The overall goal for the conference is to stand up for an open and democratic society, to empower people, and to resist the pessimistic ideas of nationalism, racism and intolerance.

Your voice will echo over the world by the end the conference when you and the other conference participants present your joint proposals on how to sustain a democratic and open society.

You will engage in lively discussion on democracy renewing proposals, share your life stories, visions, and longings for the future.
