Exchanging ideas with seven Japanese students and youth workers

– In the afternoon of September 5 the International Youth Think Tank project had the great privilege to welcome a visit from a group of seven Japanese students and youth workers, says Urban Strandberg.

The group was chaired by Junya Dohi, the founder of a Japanese non-profit organization called “Wakamono no Machi”, that works towards developing cities with active young people by supporting youth councils. Coming to Gothenburg on a study visit trip on September 2-8, the objective was to learn from the Swedish system of youth participation in society, and to spread these experiences in Japan.

– While planning our trip, we came across your English website, and we were very intrigued by your work at the Youth Think Tank. After our meeting we were very inspired by your project! And are very much looking forward to knowing about the outcome of the Youth Think Tank, says Tabatha Kobayashi, student of Shizuoka University, interpreter for the Gothenburg study visit trip.
