The Think Tank-project announce an Open Call for its first International Youth Conference discussing a democratic and open society
Bold young people and decision-makers have one thing in common: they do not accept things as is, and they are convinced that they can change the world. On November 11-14 are we setting up a unique meeting – we bring together forward-thinking young people and like-minded influential European decision makers to a powerful encounter for change within the think tank’s first International Youth Conference. Some thirty 18 to 24 year’s old Europeans from cities, suburbs, and countryside, will meet to a four-day conference at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Center in Gothenburg. The conference participants will engage in discussions evolving around appointed tasks, and they will share their life stories and experiences, visions, and longings for the future. The conference will end with an open meeting at which the youth present their ideas and suggestions on how to sustain a democratic and open society. Cecilia Malmström, Jan-Olof Jacke, and Monica Frassoni, who are members of the think tank international reference group, will be commentators. Region Västra Götaland, City of Gothenburg, and European Commission’s Swedish Representation sponsor the conference.
