Voices from Barcelona

14 December

It was a warm November evening when we headed to one of the main streets of Barcelona to run Open Chair Democracy Talks and stir the minds of passers-by. We asked the citizens and guests of the European Capital of Democracy 4 simple but challenging questions.

Our dialogues took place a couple of days after tens of thousands of protestors marched in multiple cities of Spain condemning a Catalan amnesty law.

We had a feeling that people might be skeptical when we, as strangers, stop them in the street. Especially when we ask them questions that they were never asked before. The people of Barcelona proved us wrong as they bestowed us smiles and sincere answers, word clouds from which you can see in our presentation.
